Default Carbon Fiber Hood Care?

I have a CW2 Seibon hood on my 02 bugeye. I was told that i should put a coat to protect it from sun damage, but it says in the description that it has a UAV shield. So i was wondering if i should believe the description or should i buy something for. if i should buy some protection, what should i get. also is there any other type of maintenance i should be aware of. thanks

Wax/sealant will not hurt your CF hood. Treat it the same way you'd treat your paint. Wash it and wax it regularly and you should be good to go.

not true! carbon hoods use a gel coat, not a clear coat. don't use any polishers or any of that. simply wash and wax.

you really have to keep on the wax. once a month and it'll keep brand new.
