Just bringing this over from my original place on i-club. Anyways i have way to many pictures per post so i will be doing a cliff notes of major stuff here to bring it up to date.

09/28/11
Hey guys new here obviously.

Just wanted to share my car with you guys.
i picked it up about 3 weeks ago now (yes it still smells new) and have been enjoying every minute of AWD and the turbo. I had the chance to get into an evo 8/9 don't care for the X's but i've always liked the subaru community and believe it or not that always plays a big role in me choosing cars. It was nice to restart with 1 mile again. I am almost at 1k miles because i've been driving so much trying to get past break-in-period. I changed the oil at 500 miles and am changing it again at 1500. At 500 miles i also put in a magnetic drain plug instead of the stock to try and get any metal shavings next oil change.

Anyways here is the car the day i picked it up after they had removed all the plastic protectors and got it ready and preped. Car came with STi short shift kit and SPT exhaust which is really loud. The whole engine is incredibly louder then i had thought it was going to be lol. I always loved the subi rumble just didn't realize what it sounded like so often. I love it though.

The Second day i owned the car i woke up early gave it a real good detail to try and remove the swirls that the dealer gave me when they "detailed it" and debadged it. I love the cleaner look with no badges. Plus it makes people think it's a granny wagon haha. I still kind of trip out that i have a "5 door wagon" my old car was a sedan and when i was buying my WRX i had a 2011 WRX sedan right next to my hatch and debated for 30min about buying it instead. I think i made the right choice though, something about the hatches look so mean and wide with proper wheels and offsets.

09/30/11

Said i'd keep it stock for a while but that went out the window.
Had Lyle over at VinylStyles do the red outline on my tails because they are hideous stock. I love the way they look now. I'm still debating if i want to add a light smoke to the blinker/reverse area or keep it clear like i have it now.

Something had to be done about the exhaust finishers, my idea was to plasti-dip them because i do like the extension look they give to the rear diffusor. I removed them and saw that they really leave big holes in the stock diffusor which kinda sucks. I plan to install the R205 rear diffusor wing so hopefully it still fits with these on if not i'll have to use black rivets or something to cover the holes up.

10/15/11
Got the front end clear bra'd no more chips!

10/28/11
Traded my SPT exhaust for a Invidia q300 catback

1/30/12
Decided it was time for power

Ordered Cobb accessport sub 00-3
Ordered Invidia downpipe catless
Ordered Cobb SF-Intake with airbox
Ordered Kartboy gear box bushings
Ordered all gaskets

2/02/12
Installed Cobb Accessport
Installed Cobb Stage 2 OTS LWG map.
Installed Invidia downpipe to the catback to make the full TBE
Installed Cobb SF-Intake with airbox
Installed Kartboy gearbox bushings

Cut stock heat shielf to fit invidia downpipe

02/03/12
Bought Torqued Performance stage 2 tune because the cobb map still felt really conservative.

02/24/12
Purchased Charge Speed style front lip from Bayson R Motosports
Purchased Eibach sway bars 25mm/22mm

02/25/12
Installed Eibach sway bars and Holy F**CK the car feels amazing with these bars. No more crazy body roll and the car is planted! To date this has been my favorite purchase.

03/02/12
Installed the CS Style front lip
Removing the bumper was so simple i can't believe it was that easy, no bolts like on my old bimmer. Everything is held in with clips. I can have the bumper off in 5 minutes now if needed.

03/09/12
Purchased Cobb turbo Heatshield with gold reflective thermal tape.
Purchased Cusco Strut brace
Purchased Grimmspeed manuel boost controller.

05/02/12
installed the new FMS TMIC, Forge BPV, and DW65C fuel pump

05/04/12
Ordered T-bolts
2 x T-Bolt Clamp for 2.75" Silicone Parts (CLA000103) = $5.20
1 x T-Bolt Clamp for 2.5" Silicone Parts (CLA000102) = $2.60
1 x T-Bolt Clamp for 2.0" Silicone Parts (CLA000100) = $2.60

These are the sizes you need if you have a process west TMIC or FMS TMIC and want to upgrade the worm gear clamps to T-bolts.

05/13/12
Bought Monkiboy's grimmspeed ebcs and a MBC for my protune with EQ when i go e85.

05/29/12
Traded my Cobb SF-Intake system for an AEM cold air intake system.

Purchased some Epic Engineering springs to hold me over till i can decide on going coilovers or not.

06/26/2012
Finally got around to getting the windows tinted. 20% all around and 5% visor on windshield.

07/16/2012
Did something i've been meaning to do for a couple weeks now but was putting off till the 3k came closer so i could do it all at once with my oil change. I brought the car to Auto HQ and Kevin replaced my oil and during the conversation i asked if they could also do my transmission gear/rear diff oil and he said yes. So out with old OEM crap and in with the
Subaru Extra-S and Motul.

08/10/12
Latest picture.

08/18/12
Finally got around to installing my JDM rain visors.
I like them kinda a hard install by yourself since you have to line up both sides and snap in some clips but i got it done.

09/15/12
S206 Sideskirts and R205 Diffuser.

10/24/12
Finally got around to getting flaps and a defi boost gauge.

Buddies 500whp STi is in front of my car. Hopefully one day i can be kinda fast too!

11/15/2012
Ready to go for tomorrows tune.

11/16/2012
Car is running 100% E85
Watch in HD.

Beating my buddies fully bolted IS-F

12/15/12
Removed my Q300 cat back today. Very sad to uninstall it but as a few of you know I needed something that was a bit more quiet since I generally work early AM. Gave it a good clean for the new owner and then installed a stock 11+ WRX/STi cat back. I find it hilarious that my car barely makes any noise but is fast as hell.

12/20/12
Received my clutch.
South Bend Stage II Endurance

1/20/13
Picked up TRS retroquik system

03/8/13
Picked up an Invidia N1 catback

02/13/13
Picked up Rota DPT 18x9.5 +44 in custom anthracite with 265's Hankook Ventus v12

03/10/13
So today I installed the Invidia N1 catback and modded my R205 diffuser to fit it. Required some major cutting of the diffuser to fit the canister style muffler of the N1. It's ****ing LOUD. LOL I am keeping my stock catback incase of tickets or my ears falling off. I was kinda hesitant because of the open hole on the other side and was disappointed because the diffuser didn't fit without modification but nothing a buddy and I couldn't handle. Overall the exhaust doesn't look half bad and the power that I got robbed of with the stock cat back has returned lol and it's much easier to downshift/rev match. I noticed with the stock cat back downshift/rev matching was a lot harder then when I had the Q300 due to the added back pressure. Ricey? Maybe, but oh well. The car is blue so it's not like I can hide or anything. Pictures aren't coming out well as its a bit dark but in person the muffler is pretty hidden.

Latest shot from a random shoot i did with a buddy.

11/30/13
Went crazy on black friday and spent tons of monies i didn't need to with RSD .

12/08/13
Perrin FMIC, Perrin Red boost tubes, and Perrin coolant overflow tank. BTW we started this install at 11pm and didn't finish till 6:30am. DO NOT do any type of cutting on your bumper when you are half asleep lol.

Swapped out the AEM intake for a KSTech BigMAF intake 73mm made for the Perrin FMIC because the AEM fits horribly. I wish i would have done research before buying the Perrin so i would have been prepared.

12-12-2013
Installed rear sidespats

12/15/2014
Installed BC BR Coilovers with SPC rear adjustable camber arms.
Figured these would be fine for daily driving. Can't really complain.
Installed Perrin wing risers

12/30/13
To finish out the year had a shoot of my car done. This was mainly done to document this stage of the car before things get even more crazy in 2014.
Here are some recents of the car with a few new items. I hope you all like these shots as much as i do. I have some rolling shots coming hopefully soon! Thanks to those that have kept me going with this build. I've wanted to give up and sell her so many times but i can't push myself to do it in the end. I think it's a struggle most car enthusiasts have when making their daily driver a part time project car, i've realized i've gotten to the point where i'm not going to sell her and will continue to drive her till the wheels fall off and then upgrade her some more. Thanks to the friends and family that have helped me with numerous installs, long nights, and dozens of questions. I hope you all have a Happy New Year and continue to read my build as i continue to do work. It's nice to close off 2013 with some images of my progress so far. Stay tuned for more upgrades in 2014 :P.

BTW i know i should go lower, i just can't stomach myself to slam it just yet. I'm pretty content with the ride height as of right now but who knows what will happen...

Car looks great man. Love the progress. Made me laugh when you got rid of the q300 for something quieter then got the N1 In regards to the ride height, you can certainly clam it, but I think you are at a practical height. I am on coils and I am tempted to go lower, but seeing how practical it is right now, it's silly to go any lower. I say stay where you are at! Maybe a tad lower, but don't slam it!

Haha I eventually removed the N1 and got a Ti-C which is much better tbh. Fitment and sound. Plus it's discontinued so having a part not everybody has is cool.

Thank you!

awesome looking car man!!! You have good taste, I also have an 11 WRB WRX hatch and my vision for the car is very simmilar to yours although sadly im not as far along as you are!!!

what color were your DPTs originally? and what color were they powdercoated? I love the color and the style of those wheels. The color almost looks like the stock gray which i think looks awesome on WRB. I'm going back and forth between DPTs and Rota D.

again great job on the build! nice to see a really clean WRB hatch.

The DPT's were white originally. Never mounted on my car that way though sadly. When i purchased them they were already powder coated "Anthracite" color. Turned out i loved how they looked so close to stock wheel color on our 11+ models. I also went with the dilemma of DPT's or Rota D's but in the end i needed something fast and the DPT's were available with tires .

I like this. Man, I really want one, or at least a nicer replacement steering wheel. The '04 FXT airbag wheels are gross.
