Just a quick question. I am planning to help a buddy replace the timing belt in his 2005 Outback Sport soon. I have already done the belt in my Wrx and there was the added difficulty involved with holding the cam sprockets from moving on the driver's side.
On the SOHC do I really just pull off the crank sprocket, the dust covers, turn the belt till the marks line up, pull off the tensioner, the belt and then reassemble? It almost seems too easy...

I appreciate the link. Just gave that a run through and it confirms that the SOHC timing belt should be easy as pie!
