Default Plug and play harness for LHD or RHD headlights

I am trying to see if there is enough intrest in plug and play harness for JDM headlights. The instructions on how to wire them are posted on the forums, but for lazy ppl and those who not incline to splice wires, would you be interested in a plug and play harness.

I have decided to fabricate the harness myself, please take a look at http://www.jimhoyd.com to see what I am doing, Thanks

The site contains pricing info too!

I am working with the supplier on the price, I would say about 2 weeks, right now everything is still up in the air, I am trying to get them to send me a prototype, to ensure it works properly and the quailty of the work, when I get the prototype, I'll post pics and we can go from there.. I don't want to buy some crap off the internet =)

Default about the Pnp harness

Do these Pnp Harness include relay to enable us to turn High beam on and low beam on at the same time?

For those whom are going to put HID on your projectors, this would be nice... I know there are kits that includes relay to make this working (i.e. Morrette headlights with Pnp from on of i-club vendor has this feature... and summit racing has a high beam relay harness that can be spliced in to make this happen)..

Since these Pnp harness are going to be you custom made in bulk, can you please see if this feature can be included (by adding the relay? to enable high/low beam to be on at the same time)?

I am interested if this is possible.. thank you

SY~

I have forwarded all the information / requirments to the maufacturer, e.g. low-beam stays on, when hi-beam is on... etc

does anyone have pics of the back of the headlight, esp the H1 connector, that I can send to the vendor, to make sure that the connector will work. Thanks

what kind of harness? using the standard H1 and 9003 sockets?, remember that the H1 on the lamp is not standard. They will probably end up requiring for you to install a new connector in that end.

There are pics in the group buy thread.

Make sure the manufacturer understands we only want both highs and lows on when it's really only the highs that are supposed to be on.

Alas the maufacturers are not reliable and are asking for insane amounts of money for this harness, so I am going to fabricate it myself, and also at the same time reduce the cost

I have created a site detailing what this harness will do and how it'd work so take a look at,

http://www.jimhoyd.com

check the site for the price too...

Please let me know which version you guys are more interested in, the standard or HID. Thanks

Question

Jim,

Would either of the options work for a JDM STi HID setup?

Thanks - Neil
