Default single dump Downpipe + Wastegate

the Stock downpipe is a single dump.. Since there is a
plate that blocks the wastegate.. when the wastegate opens
at about 45 degrees would it open with out any interference?
WOuld the wastegate function 100% w/out being blocked?

lets say the boost was raised would the wastegate open wider than stock levels?

thanks guys
