Default what all would i need to swap a 5MT to an automatic trans?

i have a neurological disorder which is why i sold my wrx and got an "automatic" evo. i love the wife's '08 outback sport but she got a stick since she didn't wanna spend another $1000! i'd drive it all the time if it was automatic, ill take the evo if i dont feel like dealing with the stupid clutch. i found used transmissions for $500, what else would i need?

If time was no problem, I would let you swap out my auto for a manual. Every one is going to say, your better off trading it in. It will cost more in the long run. But good luck!

As predicted; You're better off trading it in.

You're not just looking at a mechanical change, you've got the computer that controls the transmission and your own ECU to change out as well. How "used" in the transmission? Is it a rebuild? How many miles? What year?

Why not trade the Evo in on another OBS?
