Question did i install my A/F gauge right???

ok, i just got done putting my Autometer A/F gauge in MY98 OBS and i want to make sure i did it right. While i am driving at low throttle, the sensor light dances all over the place, from red to green and back again..pretty rapidlly....and when i lay on the throttle it gives me a more steady reading. If i completelly lay off the throttle, all the sensor lights go out.

Is this normal? If not, what does it mean...wrong O2 sensor in the ECU or just wrong wire in general? If so, what is the correct O2 wire on a MY98 OBS.

Also, should the face of this gauge light up like my EGT does? thanks

mike
