Default 04-06 sti springs okay to install in 02-03 wrx

Just as it say?
My buddy has some springs off his 04-06 sti can I throw them on my 02-03 with dspec struts and regular 02-03 top hats?

Front yes. Rear No. You need the '04-'07 tophats for those springs to seat properly.

I have cobb springs that were supposedly off an 07 STi and they fit right on my 04 WRX no problem. They seat correctly and everything.

That's because all of the front mount are the same size from the 02-07 wrx and sti.

The Rear 02-03 wrx mounts are a different size compared to the rear 04-07 wrx/sti mounts.

Udaman...can install the fronts 04-06 sti springs with no problem. But will need 04-07 rear mounts along with a set of strut shaft spacers or the washer mod for the rear 02-03 struts to fit those rear springs...

Haha damn I didn't even see that. I thought that they were mounted differently in the WRX than the STi and I just had some freak tophats lol

im planning to buy a pair of 06 wrx sedan strut and gf210 springs. i was wondering if they would fit my 02 wrx sedan? and would those springs fit on my 02 struts?

the springs need to be year specific to the struts.

Yes. The '02-'03 rear strut mounts and springs are a different design, but if you're dropping in complete assemblies you'll have no problems.
