Default Slips by Emissions

Hey guys I remember talk that if you live in PC you don't have to get emissions done on your car. I also remember that if you have a house in PC you can register the car to that location and then you don't need to go through emissions.
Am I remembering this right can you by-pass emissions if you live in PC and the surrounding wanship area?

Not sure if that is accurate. I thought emissions were controlled by the state and they mandated what could or could not be done.

Park City does not have emissions. Same with Tooele. You only need safety inspection.

So If my family only land in PC or wanship can I register the car in a way that I don't have to do emissions?

from the utah dmv website.

Quote:
All vehicles registered in Davis, Salt Lake, Utah and Weber counties with model years less than six years old are required to have an emission test once every two years. Vehicles in this category that have even-numbered model years must have an emission test in even-numbered years, and vehicles that have odd-numbered model years must have an emission test in odd-numbered years.
the answer to your question is yes.

Used to live in Coalville, I can verify this as being true. You do not need emissions in Summit County.

Its the high population density areas that require emmissions since they get hit the hardest when the wonderful utah inversion sets in.
