So i put together a home made grounding kit on the STi this weekend... Runs A LOT smoother and no more Electrical issue!

Now just to put another 900 miles on her and then i get the retune and will once again wreak havoc on the streets! ... School Zones - BEWARE

Did you disconnect the battery during the process?

No - i blew my car and battery up and now they're in shambles! ...

Obviously yes Like i said, car runs better, A LOT smoother and no more electrical issue

Had to disconnect negative terminal to relay new grounds over existing ones...

I had the same results until about 300 miles later. I have a feeling ( along with a growing number of people ) that it really serves no purpose but gives a placebo effect for a while.

With the problems (certain situations and load) that my car would stall and fail at it has not anymore. This was constant and as soon as i did this - it disapeared. I've been under the same driving conditions once again and instead of failing or falling on its face it does not. You might not of used thick enough wire, or your connections could be faulty or have slipped out of place during the 300 miles. I dont think that installing a grounding kit would serve as a placebo effect.

EX: If i was in neutral and were to give the car some gas the car would stall when the RPM's fell back down to idle, backing out of a parkin space - same situation when going into neutral or stopping the car would fail and die. Coming to a stop light and returning to idle the car would fail. Any and all of these situations have not happened once the kit was instaled. These were a constant problem, among other situations.

But i guess i'll have to wait and see

Also i dont think it would harm or serve as a placebo effect by increasing the ground on the car. I've heard nothing and seen nothing but good things... until now

I brought up camping a while ago and nobody showed interest.

I'm down. I know the Gurang might be down as well. We could even keep it local at Chain 'O Lakes SP...
