Default Subaru wish list

If anyone from SOA is reading this list....

How about a:

- Legacy GT (Sedan and Wagon) w/ the 2.0 WRX turbo motor

- Turbo or Supercharge the H-6, and put it in the Legacy

- Bring the Blitzen (wagon and sedan) to the US

They have the turbo motor in the Forester and Legacy in Japan and other markets. I think it would sell here.

Is the H-6 strong enought to turbo? How about the transmissions? Can they take the torque? Don't want any more SVX problems.

Thought I'd just stir the pot

turbo'd legacy GT w/ the WRX engine is apparently in the works... I've heard this from various subaru sales and parts people.

blitzen... hmm doubtful... B4 RSK is more likely.. I've also heard rumors here about a limited edition B4 RSK to go on sale prior to the turbo'd GT's.

The H6 needs to be reworked for a manual IMHO... then maybe look into turbo or supercharging it. After the SVX, I'd wonder the same things too.

Forester turbo should also be around in the same timespan... 2004-2005... but who knows for sure?

How is this for a request:

If they sell it, bring it over here. We love cars as much as the japanese or brits or aussies...

The Turbo Forrester is pretty much a given, it's just when. Probably 2004.

Subaru's product timeline shows:
- Forester Turbo in 2003 (after the STI).
- New redesigned Legacy followed by GT turbo in 2004.
- New redesigned Impreza in 2005.

Where can I find an online copy of this timeline? Is there one? Or is this strictly unofficial?

I think it's the one that SOA asked the club not to post anymore.

Yep, that's the one.
Well since there isn't a "gag order" - I had memorized the years and models before it was taken down.

That sounds about right. The Legacy has been on a 5 year model cycle since introduction in 1990

90 - 94
95 - 99
2000 - 2004 ?
next one due in fall 2004 as a 2005 model.

Thumbs up

Yup, the Legacy is what I'm eyeing.

Impreza STi propositions are nice, but I'd like to keep my RS, not trade it in... (Unlikely, but we'll see.) A bigger car will be nice.

I personally don't think the WRX/STi 2.0L will be great in the Legacy. It's too big. I'd rather see Subaru do something special with the H-6, for the US market.

6s are just so smoooooooooth.
