Default Check engine light

I just went out for a short drive to pick up some food and when i started up my Check Engine light came on and my Cruise light is blinking and won't let me cancel it or activate it.

Any ideas??

Where is a good cheap place to take it to get the codes checked and cleared?

A bunch of the local VIC members have either a Tactrix and/or ODB2 cable and can help you out.

I do have a Tactrix cable, but I'm busy tonite and tomorrow.

Check out the FAQ up top for more info on people who can help you pull a code or two.

LaterZ!
Darren!!

whatever you do,

Don't reset your ECU. This will clear the code / CEL but you won't beable to tell what it was. the code reader will beable to remove the code.

I had the same lights (CEL + Cruise). The code turned out to be some faults in my fuel line. It can be as simple as a loose connection in the fueling sensors under your car. Not sure if yours is the same.
