Default broken a/c thing? pic inside, help please

hey guys, can you tell me what this piece is. its the broken rotary looking thing on the end of the a/c pully i believe. the left side is broken and right is too. thanks

not the black piece. the little circles around it. they rattle like crazy. just curious if i can get just this piece replaced.

it only spins on when the ac is turned on so im guessing its hooked up to the a/c?

Yeah...When the a/c is on, the clutch engages to turn the compressor. When it's off the clutch is not engaged and thus just leaving the pulley to spin. You can stand there and watch the clutch engage and disengage as the a/c cycles.

Yea, AC compressor clutch assembly. You can replace it. Without removing the comp, but this is not a job for a novice. The part that is actually broke is the return spring. So as long as its fully returning, and you can live with the noise, you should be alright for awhile.
