Where will you be watching the race from? I'm buying my ticket today and it's asking for an area I'm planning on watching the race from. Where will all the other subies be? Devil's Playground?? I plan on heading up the mountain at 4am.

i believe all us nebraska people will be heading to devils playground. we should all meet up before the race and get situated on where to go, or perhaps have a poll in here about where everyone wants to watch from.

Because of my lung condition I will likely stay downhill near the start at 9,300 feet.

It was still very fun last time I went, and I even got to rescue a driver who crashed into the trees

Larry,

Subaru's tent is going to be set up at the start line. I have a VIP pass that Heuberger (sp?) sent to me in the mail that I don't know if it actually gets you anything special, but I'll bring it on Saturday (you will be at the supermeet won't you?).

I've heard the best spot to watch from is Devil's Playground. That's where I'm going. 4am baby.

just a qusetion, but why 4am??? we got to the hill at 8am last year and had absolutley no problems getting to devils playground and getting a good spot. we were planning on going a little earlier this year to hang out by the pits, but i think 4 am is somewhat out of the question for me.

I didn't go last year, but I'd heard that 4am was necessary in order to get a spot at Devil's Playground. Hmmm, sleeping a little would be nice. Maybe 7am would be sufficient.

we were thinking 6:30 to 7am so we would have time to look around the pits and still have time to get a good spot at devils playground. by the way i just PM's you back.

I went at 4am before and slept in the car when I got to Devils Playground. The lot was practically empty when we got there but was very full by 8am. As far as actually watching the race there is plenty of spots to sit so that doesn't seem to be an issue.

you may miss the beginning runs, but you can always park and watch the rest after your get there. the first year i went, i didnt get there till 10. it was still fun though. i parked at the lake and walked up to a spot about 1/2 mile up from the start line. great seats, and i got to go through the pits. course, we'll all be up at devils playground, but i believe larry will be near the start line, so you can watch with him.
