hey everyone,
i was wondering how you jack up the wrx without damaging the frame or anything under the car. i read about people who bent the frame by jacking the car up. where are the jack points for the front and the rear? oh yeah, i'm going to use a floor jack. and where do i put jack stands? i need to know what to do because i am planning on changing the oil and pulling the silencer sometime this weekend. thanks ![]()

There are spots behind the frt wheels for jacking up the car and also the frt dif/bump thing. I had to jack uo the car on the right side to get the silencer out but I don't jack it up to change the oil.
I use OEM filters and the crush washers from the dealer. Is there any place in town to get redline oil or something better then moble 1? Aaron |

lol, dont get me started about Filters or Oil
But for one dont buy Fram filters, there is a really good write-up about differnt filters, I will try to find it again and put the link up. Yalls OEM filters are Puralators I belive, those are very good filters. If you dont like going to the dealer or just dont want to give them your money, lol. Napa filters are very good too, those are Wix filters rebadged. If you looking for some High-Grade Oil (BTW if you ever see the New Mobil One (I havent seen it on the self yet, but have seen comercials for it) dont get it, there is a huge thread on it on the vortex, not good stuff at all), But Artic Industrial and Automotive on International sells Royal Purple, that is some damn good oil. Better be at $6.50 a quart tho. The people there will probably cut you a deal, even more so if you buy a case. But that is the oil that I am running right now, Purple Oil looks kind of cool, lol. But yeh Royal Purple is some really high grade stuff. APR (a company that makes a STG 3 kit for our Dubs) only recomends Redline, Amsoil, and Royal Purple, they Used to recomend Mobil One before they changed there forumla. |

Yah I read all about the filters and the whole Moble 1 thing. I could not find the old moble 1 stuff and ended up putting in the new stuff. I figure it has to be better then dino, and I will find better oil next time.
They say it does not have any gread 3 oil in it, and it is still 4 and 5 like the tri-sync formula. I read a long link about it on i-club and found a link to a "bobistheoilguy" (forgot the url) web site and there was info there too. I don't know.... Aaron |
