is it automatic or manual? Some people think automatic exhaust sounds funny. I would start off with maybe getting yellow fog lights. Maybe consider a HID kit. Never hurts to put in front/rear sway bars/struts. If you want a unique look get JDM rain guards. You should do your research though theres lots of good information here.

Why you would ever recommend a ridiculous HID kit is beyond me. Those things are absolute garbage, and throw light EVERYwhere.

its a manual ofcourse..i didnt want an automatic, i currently dont have any fog lights on there but i definitely want to go with the yellow fog lights..its currently silver and i want to set it up so everything else on the car is black or tinted (windows, tailights, rims etc.)

I haven't put HIDs into my car yet. I am considering it I've seen it on other 08+ imprezas and they don't look that bad nor have I seen them throw light everywhere. Just some suggestions.

Long story short: Wheels/tires, sways/endlinks, and shift bushings/short shifter if you wanted it. Those are basically the only real worthwhile upgrades you would actually notice.

Just because our cars have projectors doesn't mean we can just stick cheap ebay HID kits in them and call it a day. Those kits give off plenty of glare, and the cut off line is sloppy and terrible. Do a side by side comparison of OEM HID's or a good retrofit job with a PnP kit and the difference in unbelievable. Didn't mean to jump on you, just a pet peeve of mine.

Get a different grill.
It's a necessity.

The 08 grills are fugly.

Aesthetics:
-Tint
-Red painted taillights
-Grill
-Newer wheels

nairbmik hit the money for HID kits; they are garbage. Some good bulbs like Osram Nightbreakers or Silverstars light the night quite well.

do a resonator delet, for the sound, it doesent hurt the power band too much,
also if its your thing (most people dont like it) but the DRL disable mod, also switch out your fluids, go with a full synthetic (depending on mileage) oil change, you will notice the engine feels better almost right away, i recommend amsoil, although everyone has a diff opinion,

A WRX exhaust shouldn't have any problem make sure its a Cat back not a Turbo back.

Cool 2010 impreza hatch

hey guys, thought my situation was similar so thats why im putting this in here, i just got a 2010 impreza hatch, (which is my second car) im 19 and can't drive stick and the sticker prices were a bit too high so the wrx and sti were out (sucks i know), but i was also looking for simple mods for this car, so far i have tint planned, getting a front transformer license plate (aesthetics only), and plan on getting the sport grill in the future. Are there any other mods worth getting?

If you're on a budget :

OEM takeoff 2009/10 WRX catback exhaust, HID kit with squirrel finder mod, OEM takeoff 2009/10 wrx struts/springs, OEM takeoff 2008+ sti rear sway or 2009/10 wrx sway bars.

First mod for any 08+ non-turbo Impreza; Rear Sway Bar. Get one. You will be shocked at how much it improves the ride, handling and fun of your car.

...and you'll be baffled as to why Subaru didn't have one on the car to begin with.

*Sputter* Resonator delete?

Resonator is there for a reason pal. To dampen the exhaust note a little more and stop exhaust resonance in the cabin (so it doesn't drone).

If you take it out, your exhaust will still be quiet. The stock muffler is still there, so it will still be quiet.

Not to mention just doing a muffler delete sounds cheap...

And +1 on the sway bar.

I'm pretty sure the sport grill or the STI grill would fit. Check the classified here or 3gwrx. Also here: https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/i...Path=33_99_100

If you go with the STI grill I'd take off the STI emblem.
