What's the layout like? From what part to what part will it cover? I'd like to find a good spot to check it all out.

I just talk to Mike @ RRE [if anyone's familiar with his fine DSM & 323 GTX rally car support] and he said the track layout is really good for spectating. It's basically a big loop that the cars are going to circle so there'll be plenty of open space to see the cars fly by multiple times. Bring sunscreen & water though cause its going to be BLAZING hot out there!

The most accesible spectating is at Hungry Valley ORV area. Go in the gate and park in the lot on the right - North Bdry stages start & finish here; keep on the paved road - there are spots where you can see some of this stage; turn right at the 1st intersection further on - the service area is under the powerlines right next ot the stage start/finish. These stages should run from noon to the dinner break.
Stop by Rally HQ at the Flying J for more info. The best spectating is up in the hills and really the only to see is to be a stage worker. I'll be there, still not sure if I'll be working the rally or servicing though. Say hi if you see me near my car - blue sedan. Tom |
