RA 4.444 trans and built diffs for oem+cash
hey guys, i have a setup fro rally or drag, and its not very good for DD. its a 5 speed RA trans, with a 20Kgf center diff, 1.5 way KAAZ front diff, and a 2.0 way cusco rear diff.
looking for a more streetable trade + cash. preferably, an RA 5 speed with a 4.444 final drive, stock diffs (r160) and cash. the diffs amount to roughly 3500$. work was done by andrewtech. mileage will determine amount, my setup has less than 3k miles on it, it is however currently in the car, and will remain there until i find someone to trade with.
also would consider trades for DCCD setups, or a 6 speed swap with no cash.
looking for like 1500 on top of the stock trade, less than half of what the diffs are worth.
this is a good setup for a rally car or a drag car, and it can be fun for DD, but i would like to spend some money on body mods, and i have no use for a drag trans, and theres not enough dirt roads for me to have a good time. let me know if you have any offers.
for those of you that know nothing about the 4.444, it provides a 12% increase in acceleration over a stock wrx trans, with very short gears you in power for more of the gearing. the 4.444 final drive was japans answer to broken gears, because of the extreme ratio, the diffs take the blow from the launches, instead of the gears themselves. and with the bullet proof diffs i have, it will take any kind of launch you can throw at it all day long.
the trans has been launched maybe a handful of times, i currently have opensource launch control, set to 5300rpms, and theres never any banging clanking or any other funky noises when i launch. takes it like a champ.
as far as i know the gears are only good to 400whp, however with the way the power is distributed, and the torque limiting center, i would up that number to 500. i can garuntee anything. but honestly, im going to be running an EVO8 twinscroll 16g, and at 320 wheel, its gonna be a lethal combination. i should be in the low 12s when its done. (with any luck)

I am in Michigan and am pretty interested let me check my finances right now as I just dropped 5k this week into a 20g setup. I would be looking to do the sway for my stock but would have to figure something out for how to get you mine and get yours unless you would wanna do it and I could drive there for the weekend.
