My info display shows that the outside temperature is much cooler than it really is and my fuel economy stays between 21 and 23mpg regardless if I'm sitting at idle, on the freeway, driving streets or with the ac on.
I've only had the car since Monday evening and the car was shipped here (Los Angeles) from Texas. Perhaps the ECU needs to recalibrate? Really, these are not necessary to have but because I have them... I want them to work. Anyone else have issues with either of these displays?

Warranty issue...bring it in. If its past warranty, sorry. Another member had a similar issue with an older unit. It seems that the vehicle speed sense wire needs to be connected. It needs to know the vehicle is moving to display proper stats. It might be the same with our gauges.
Was your speed sense wire tampered with? |

I personally haven't touched it. It's an 08 so it's still under warranty. I'll run one more tank of gas to see if it changes.
I will also do some research on the speed sensor. |

Just for the hell of it, I'll ask the obvious. Sorry if it seems too dumb but as you've only had the car a few days you may not have noticed.
Switch the tripmeter between odo, trip A and trip B. If you have it on trip A or B you will only see an average over the whole trip. After a few days it will take some careful or spirited driving to make that average change. Switch over to the normal odo reading and you should see current consumption. That will change rapidly as you are at idle, coasting (off throttle) or WOT. Of course, none of that impacts the OAT reading so you may have a fault somewhere. |

Oh yeah, Petrie's right. Alternatively you can reset your odometer trip A and/or B to reset the fuel consumption (it will blank out and look like - -.-. The fuel consumption actually takes the overall trip's distance, not an instantaneous status.
Your temp is a mystery tho. |

Ha, thanks for the info. I pulled out the owners manual and found the same information. Fuel economy reading seems to be accurate.
As far as the temp reading goes it seems to be on par with what my local news tells me. So... at the end of the day... there is nothing wrong with my info display, lol. |
