etc. etc. etc. (I'm probably forgetting quite a bit, but that's the gist of it)

The bottom-end of the motor has a meticulously maintained 111k on it, the top end and all turbo/fuel/intake components have been completely rephased / installed as new within the last 1k miles, and the transmission was replaced by Smith-Cairnes Subaru under warranty roughly 40-50k ago (don't have the paperwork in front of me right now, but I do have documentation).

To die-hard Subaru guys, this is a textbook example of how to build a bugeye. I've owned the car for the better part of the past decade, and can account for all the work that has been done under the hood. I've recently rephased the top-end and replaced the turbo and injectors. The car runs unbelievably strong, especially for the automatic transmission, and conservative road tune at 18psi - once on the dyno, I've been told that the car should arrive in the neighborhood of 325-350whp. I've been babying her until she see's the dyno for bigger numbers, but she's a lot of fun when you let her open up.

As for any cons this car may have, there are a few couple very small dings (no bigger than your fingertip, honestly), the driver side front coilover has developed some mild knock when hitting hard bumps, and I've yet to do the head gasket / timing belt (which I'd take care of as a precaution before tuning for big WHP numbers - main reason I haven't gone in for my dyno tune yet). Again, I've babied this car as long as I've had it, so my apprehensions / precutions would be another person's oversights; just being honest. Also, since installing a new starter, it takes a few cranks for the car to start - I just ended up getting used to it. Car never fails to start, just not as immediate as it would have been stock. Might be a camshaft position sensor, even. Not sure. Hasn't raised an issue.

My plans, if I were to keep it, would have been to go E85 and hybrid, but I've lost interest. However, this car is surely the perfect platform for anyone looking to go that route themselves. I know I'm going to miss it!!

Feel free to contact for more / hi-res photos or with any further questions you may have about the car.

As far as trades are concerned, I will ONLY consider a 68-72 Chevy Nova or a well-sorted S13/S14 Nissan Silvia (roller + cash is preferable, as I'm interested in doing an LS1 swap, if I go that route) or any LSx swapped tuner (RX7, Silvia, etc.)

Thanks!

How in the heck did you get them to warranty the trans with all those mods?? My 4EAT went at 78k and it cost me $3100 for the rebuild.

When I bought the car, I bought a warrantee from a family friend who worked at another dealership; 10k miles later, the tranny went out.

I got VERRRRY lucky. The car was only Stg2 at the time, as well.

Great looking car. Doing the math in my head as I'd love to get back into a bugeye. I'll warn you though, I'd be swapping out the seats coilovers and wheels. Wonder what I could get for my Forester.

Glad to make you proud, Alan! Wouldn't have come this far without you!
Now I feel like this car has been sold twice or something

Bruce, I would be so happy if you were the one adopting her. Couldn't think of a better, more appreciative home. Let me know!

OK Nasioc!! Limited Window where $9k can take it!!

Here's the deal: I'm racing the clock on picking up a potential project car, and $9k is all I need to make that happen. However, if this car gets away from me before I sell my own, my price goes back up.

if money is what you want part it out, you will make a lot more money parting the car out as long as you have most of the stock parts. Get the car as close to stock as you can. Sell part and sell the car.
