Default P&L; Our products, the good, the bad, and whats next in line!

First off, we'd like to thank you, the consumers for the support that we have gotten over the last 8 years. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The growth between ourselves and the company as a whole has been for the most part due to you guys!!! We couldn't appreciate you more.

Over the years we've done some first in the community. From creating the first aftermarket, reliable, warrantied AVCS line kit, 3 year warranty exhaust products, all the way to the highest volumetric efficient Subaru PNP1 CNC ported heads on the market.

The drag car.....enough said.

The constant growth of the product line (over 100+ products to date) has allowed us to stand back and ponder the thoughts of what’s next for the Subaru community. What is the next mountain to climb? How do we improve on something that is at a prime?

Well, the answer was easy, ask you guys what you want from US!!!! What are the next products that should be offered? What services should be next to come out of our facility? What is next in the P&L Motorsports Signature lineup?

We know where we came from and we know who we are. We will never allow a label of some sort to get through to our heads. We promise to keep ourselves humble and to ensure the best quality possible with the best service behind it.

So here is the deal, we'd like to ask you for some input, advice if you will, to the path of righteousness....in parts. Something that you as a consumer would find appealing, make you look twice, read the reviews and obviously ponder the thought of spending your hard earned funding on it. We are looking for products that will be utilized for proper power proven modifications, products that may even revolutionize the industry.

We can say that this year has been a phenomenal year regardless.
  • 2008+ Impreza 2.5i Cat Back Exhaust System
  • 2008+ WRX Hatch Street Series Exhaust System
  • 2008+ WRX Sedan Model TBE
  • 2005 – 2009 Legacy Street Series TBE
  • 05-09 Legacy Rotated 30-35R Turbo Kits with Intake Manifold Conversion and more.

We’ve also introduced our V-Band Design Rotated Turbo Kit option to all the models that we carry.

A few things were looking into creating are the FMIC’s for the 08 Hatch WRX, the 05-09 LGT’s, 08+ Sedan WRX and maybe more.

Let us know whether it’s for the Forester, the Legacy or whatever. We want your input. If you feel that you need to say something negative against us, please explain why, this is also something that we may need to improve on. If you have a comment about our services that is good, then let us know as well so that we can carry the consistency along and retain that great service.

I'd really really like to see a blow-thru tube kinda like the perrin one.
except one that can actually be tuned with consistency so that people with the stock ecu have the possibility to run blow-thru without the inconsistency that seems to cause many tuners to refuse tuning them.
that barely makes sense.

Thank you, that's a great idea. What works is that we have Jorge here so we can R&D different styles, placements plus, we can dyno test them.

You know, that's something I might have to add to the list now that you've mentioned it.

sweet I've been wanting to run blow-thru with a stock mount turbo for a while (even had a flange welded in to my fmic piping) but got talked out of it by my tuner.

I would really like to see a P&L TMIC for any WRX/STI (one to fit an 06 as that is what i have would be nice!). Due to Chicago weather conditions FMIC are not always the best option, and even with some options available i feel that a good, cost effective, reliable TMIC is lacking currently

That is also a phenomenal idea. One thing about this situation is that there are a few companies that have TMIC's. One that we utilize and appreciate very much is the Spearco.

Yes, the cost is a bit up there for a TMIC (with 300 more you get a FMIC) but the product really does work. The consistency of the product is un-comparable, the effectiveness of it is top notch, the fact that you really gain a good amount of power without the sacrifice of bottom end is awesome.

One issue that can come into play is whether or not the materials can be sourced to match this sort of product while being able to utilize a lower overall cost (both manufacturing and retail). This is something that will ponder our heads now, it's been requested before but never really put into any sort of action.

Mr. Zook, maybe you'd like to be the first in line for something like this???

How about some sort of equal length header? Or a radiator shroud that fits aftermarket radiatiors such as the koyo?

The header is a good idea but there are so many options out there right now that there is really no way to be competitive in that field.

Perrin, Tomei, Fuji and of course GT Spec are the leaders of that side of the industry right now. We've used the above name products and can name the faults and the pros of each companies product.

The materials used would be top notch and of course the P&L Warranty would be available but unless WE see for a necessity, then it's really no use for it.

Will it really be worth the time, R&D, and overall effort for a production model header? If so then we'd also like to offer an un-equal length model as well.

The shrouds, well, I doubt there would be a mass production of them, maybe more of a custom piece tailored to the vehicle.

If more are interested in such a thing like headers then let us know, it's something else that I've added to the list!

Well, when is the cash in my hand, I'll build your TS for you LOL.

For the community, any prepays (a few so far) will have a couple custom options put into the kit to suite you better.

Tall order, but I want a low-mount kit.

I haven't done measurements, only basic looking at clearances with the car in the air, but it looks like it is possible with the stock DP flange, which means it might be possible to do it with a JDM twinscroll flange.

I think it would be on the pricey side, as you'd need a scavenge pump and all the extra junk that goes along with them, plus the pipes, but I also think a demonstration of the lag reduction will attract enough buyers to be worthwhile.

It would back people into a corner in terms of the turbo size they can fit, and would also likely require IWG, but I think the people interested in such a thing would be okay with a size limit. With mitsu sections for the Subaru TS housing starting to show up, that's what I'd design such a kit around if it can fit... which is the hard part.

There's nothing like a low mount kit in the Subaru world. Perhaps that means it can't fit, perhaps that means it's impractical due to labor costs, perhaps it just means nobody has put enough effort into it. Exclusivity might offer nice margins if you can make it fit. Standard flanges would be necessary for any hope of volume, and I think also make it "kit-able" due to the lack of having to fit 1-2 EWGs + pipes somewhere.

Stock location twinscroll options, headers, uppipes, ewg uppipes. Bunch of people offer the turbos now, nobody makes headers or uppipes. A good dampening crank pulley would be great, sheetmetal or aluminum covers for the battery, ABS, and BCS areas would be cool.

So, we've thought about what should be next and here we go, a decision has been made.

A list of the products that will be coming up this year will be up shortly.

Here is a link to yet another product that we have released to the Subaru community.

http://www.pandlmotorsports.com/osCo...16bf15c4cacc3e

It's another product that is a need for the community as the demand for it is so high.

Check it out!!!
