Hi. There's not much you can do to get power out of it, but suspension fine tuning will get you everywhere. Start with some good tires/wheels, front & rear swaybars (rallitek are top of the line and low price), then springs & struts. Then your car will handle great. Keep the stock wheels and just throw some winter tires if you want to rallycross or b/c of your local weather. There's very little you can actually do for power, but you can check the n/a forum for more info there.

Pimp everything but don't bother beefing the engine too much imo.

There are pleeeeeeeeenty of ideas if you search. Really.

The general idea is, don't bother modding the engine, and focus on the suspension so you can have a fun to drive car.

Default need help with removing headrests

Hello! I just got a used 2007 subaru impreza 2.5i and bought seat covers. I would like to ask if anyone here knows how to remove the headrests (if that can be done at all) so I can slip the covers on through the holes.

Thanks !!

yeah there isnt much for us to gain huge hp.. but suspension is a god way to start... as for engine.. intake. HFC..CBE.. headers.. maybe an access port... not a big variety.. but everything helps... enjoy the whip.. i have a 07 impreza 2.5i and got some goodies on her and love it

Doing bolt-ons and a tune can get you some more power from the engine... not a huge amount but there are gains to be made.

As the others have said, suspension has a lot of room for improvement. Even take-off WRX parts would be a step up.

Okay so everyone recommends RalliTEK sways? What about struts and springs? I'm not looking for a huge drop because it's still a daily driver will have to make it through the snow in the winter.

I have sti springs on wrx struts, with noltec camber plates. Rallitek sways and some 225 45 17 kdw's. That with a good alignment is definitely good enough for a daily driver. Although you can get a tire with a higher treadwear rating with the same amount of grip, I just like the styling and I get a good price for the kdw's.

Okay, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the Rallitek Swaybars.

On a separate note, does anyone out there have a light bar and lights on an 06-07? Pictures? Suggestions?

Rally Innovations light bar is great, but a bit expensive.

Does anyone have any problems with this bar obscuring the view of the front license plate? from the pictures on their sight, it looks like it goes across the plate, but it might be in an area where there is nothing on the plate?

Bump

Okay, so in addition to my previous question about the bar, what lights do people use? And how do you guys wire them up? Do you wire them into their own switch? the parking light switch? The high beams?

Thanks
Lou
