Interesting stance the gentleman has in the upper right corner. He must of felt awkward with Phil's unique display.

Six Star is probably your best bet in that area, but if you want, you can pm Drink and he'll probably be able to just cut your stock springs in the Morettis parking lot.

Just get some spring compressors, do it yourself, then take it to a shop to get an alignment.

Just called them during my lunch break. Convinced me to get some coilovers instead

It's the economy, and the tuner shop business is hard these days, so they'll try to sell you anything they can. Can't blame them. (A different shop just tried to sell me on a cold air intake on a forced induction engine just last week ). Either way, they're good people over there and will do a good job. Otherwise, do it yourself.

Oh I totally meant it in a good way. As in we talked in depth about the pros/cons and whatnot. The frown was for the extra $$$ I'd have to spend.

They seem like great guys.

I think they sell the BC coilovers, which are great coilovers for the price.
Just make sure it's what you want. After 2 years riding on coilovers I considered going back to a regular setup, but then again I'm old.

PM rick1004 about the coilovers he owns. They are very similiar in construction to KW Variants (expensive) unlike lower end BC's. In that they are stainless steel construction (best of my knowledge). Don't get me wrong, you can get BC's cheeeep, but I would give these a look and the price point is probably up your ally. You get what you pay for when it comes to coilovers. If you don't want a rebuild after hitting an unexpected bump, shell out the money up front and have some peace of mind.

you still will have to rebuild coils at some point. shelling out big money doesnt make your car immune to crap roads.
