Default OT- Email from Carole James!

i recently received an email from Carole James, leader of the BC NDP.

She mentioned some proposals, and plans for change the NDP had. Then she asked for a financial contribution. I replied:

Quote:
Dear Carole,

It's all well and good to propose change, but have those changes come into play yet? Frankly, I am wondering if I too should petition for funding from the general public; I've been known to make a proposal or two. In fact, if I had your funding, I'd quit my job. I'd propose things 8-5, 5 days a week. And maybe even work some Saturdays.

Unfortunately we differ slightly in our outlooks, you and I. I think carbon tax is a waste of taxpayers money. You can't stop global warming by taxing me, and especially not when certain huge countries are entering the industrial age in a big way (China, for example. Why aren't you taxing them?). Hell, even scientists know the world's most powerful greenhouse gas is water vapour. Why don't we start taxing the oceans, and the rivers, and the lakes?

Also, I am shocked your email hasn't referenced the HST. Surely a government for the people would like to see more money stay in our pockets. Your political and bureaucratic reforms sound nice as well; but HST being the large issue it is, it must deserve some mention of your party's stand on the issue?

I will not be contributing any funds to the BC NDP, because I do not feel the party is working towards the same ideals and goals I would.

Sincerely,

Ken

mods feel free to take this down.

Vancouver is headed for another 10 years of political deadlock between the granola eaters and little businessmen. Even San Francisco moves smoother these days ...

I keep getting emails from Carole James and her NDP party all the time now, ever since I signed up for their online petition against electronic piracy laws. It's so annoying!
