Default help, (ok ive double posted sorry mods)

this is a double post i know, so shutup about it

Ok so I want to start off by saying I've nnever had good luck with electrical..... that's all of that you need to know.

Here's the problem.....

I installed an old head unit I had in my truck into my subie, it was a good deck in the amount of power it delivered for the price so I kept it,
I made a flow chart of all the wires I needed to connect to what wires to do it properly. But I guess while driving over some contruction work and choppy road some of the wires came loose (once again I'm horrible at electrical work) I was listening to the radio today, and I heard a pop, the deck turned off and so did my clock and interior lights as well as my keyless entry.

So I figured I blew a fuse.. replaced the illumination fuse....... still didn't work..... I'm stuck

My buddy says it might have been a relay too.. what do you guys think it is?

i also looked under the hood in the engine bay fuse box and found the stereo fuse, not blown

i looked at the acc fuse and its not blown either

im really in a pickle

First off, let this be a lesson to you on doing your connections properly, soldering is the way to go. But if you crimp, you better pull on the connection to make sure it does not come loose. Then wrap up the wires with wire loom to protect the wires from abrasion.

After you fixed your radio wires, move on to the fuses. Sounds like you have a short. Relays don't go out as often so you're still probably looking at a fuse. Not sure why your lights, clock and keyless were tied in but you have to check those fuses first. I believe the lights and the clock are tied together so check the interior lights fuse. If your radio is still not on, then there is probably another fuse on the back of your radio.

Your radio should have its own fused power source. If you can't find it, run your own wire from the battery to your radio and fuse the wire closest to the battery.
