Default Weird starting issue.

This morning while driving to work a cop decided to pull me over and told me to shut off the engine. When I got rid of the cop. I tried to turn the engine on but nothing happened, the engine didn't even cranked, my WRX was downhill so I decided to let it go and release the clutch as soon as I caught speed the engine started perfectly. I went driving back home and tried to start the car and it worked.
Anyone have a guess of what could've have happened?

Thanks in advance.

Had a similar problem a while back. The car would always start up if it had been sitting for a couple hours but if I drove it for about 10 minutes, turn off the car and tried to restart it 50% of the time it would crank but not start and the rest I would get nothing. If I let it sit for about 15 min it would start again. Swapped the battery and haven't had a problem since.

The trouble could be with the battery but it it could be other things also like bad battery connections. I suggest you first clean the connections and make sure they are snug tightened to the posts, not overtight, which will stretch the connector. If that doesn't help have the battery checked out doing a load test on it.
