Default The Parking Lot Wars Thread

Hey All,

So, this thread is for damage that has happened to your Subie while in a store doing a routine errand.

Post the story and some pics!

Here is my story that happened 2 days ago:

There is an awesome phenomenon thats been happening in Tucson, AZ for years. Read the scenario below: (I know its long, but my misfortune can be your entertainment):

*This is a 100% true story*

Scene: Driving to a store in the Subie.

Me think to myself: Hey ill park in the back of the lot where there are 10 million spots open so no mommy van full of screaming kids who kick their doors open like NYPD on a raid will park next to me. I mean seriously there must be 300 empty spots around me, ill be fine.

now I'm in the store, inline for check out. I can clearly see my Subie from where I am standing. Then all of a sudden I see a white van drive right in front of the store. It was like a slow motion moment. I could clearly see all 3 screaming (chubby) kids holding ice-cream bars bigger then my inter-cooler in their sticky hands. I think to myself, "That's why I parked way the F in the back of the lot, so a car like that wouldn't park next to me." Then I looked around at the other people in line and thought smugly "One of you idiots are going to have your car raped while those kids SWAT team kick their doors open and smash your car."

Then all of a sudden I quickly noticed that the white van is heading to the back of the lot, where I parked....this chilling feeling came over me.

Kids in the van: Mommy! Mommy! Park next to that blue car!
The Mom: OK kids! Dont for get to kick your doors open like the cars on fire an hit the car we park next to.

Sure enough that white van passes 60+ empty spots and pulls in right next to my Subie. I mean like 1 ft away. At this point I am now walking out the doors of the store towards my care with kinda a panicky feeling. Then I hear it...BOOM! (with a metallic sound)....O yes it happened, that chubby little runt LAPD kicked his door open and it smashed into my car. Now, my pace quickened towards the car. I hear chubby kid number 2 yell "Ill get a cart mommy" and he runs 15 ft away to an abandoned cart and grabs it to bring it back to his mom. While chubby kid number 2 is pushing/scootering the cart back to his mom he passes by my Subie and that's when it happend...Chubby kid number 3 jumped on to the moving cart causing chubby kid number 2 to lose control and they crash the cart into the rear bumper passenger side. They stop for a moment in complete silence while look at what they have done, then they burst into laughter, point, and run to catch up with mommy.

Meanwhile I am crushed and laying in my own tears on the ground.

- The End -

The damage from chubby kid # 1 (The SWAT team kick):

The damage from chubby kid #2 (The cart crash):

(flame suit on if this thread has already been invented, ill remove if nessasary)

I would have had that kid by the neck man...I would have gone straight to their mother with my hands out asking for cash

ITS CALLED RESPECT and no one either has it, or passes it on to their kids...this stuff pisses me off to no end and these people need to be held accountable for their, or their kids, actions!

That is so ridiculous but it always seems to happen. Some douche always finds the nicest car in the lot and has to mess with it. If it weren't illegal you should have back-handed everyone of those chubby little bastards! Glad everything is getting fixed for you though

This is just freaking ridiculous! Just the fact that the idiots are fat chubby kids make it even worse. If this seriously happened to me right in front of my face, I would BE PISSED and confront the crap out of them.

On a positive note, hey at least they probably thought you're car was a cool fast car, unfortunately kids don't care about others property

What is wrong with the Jersey Shore. I've seen a few people on here reference it but I don't get it? Are the people there just tools or something?

I would have assaulted the mother (and kids by extension) and made her pay for it through-and-through

That sucks man I hear you on this. Whenever I go shopping or at a restaurant, I always park in the back where there are at least 100 spots available around my car. There are always dumb people who will park right next to my car. I have solved about half of the problem. Since there are 100 spots available, I park right in the middle of 2 spots and people generaly park inside the lines so there is a lot of free space around my car even if there are 2 cars on each side.

i know how you feel. i keep my car always tucked away from every last person i can. i go to school 15 minutes from my house and every time i get my car fixed some degenerate from my campus seems to have a need to go full swing opening their door when i leaven enough room for a cow to walk through. needless to say i leave class to find my car banged up beyond belief oh and of course they dont leave a note with any info.
i love the fact that the POS cars in the lots seem to never have issues like this but people love playing bumper cars with the nice ones.

Yeah, the whole thing was ridiculous. When I approached the mother saying "I am going to need your insurance information" she played the whole "Its not that bad of damage" crap. So it got pretty heated for awhile. Meanwhile the kids were still riding/scootering the cart around screaming and being total brats.

that sux dude. i dnt have pics of what happened to my car, but i can share the short version of the story.

i had pulled into a walmart after a long day at work. I had gone inside for probably only 20 min or so. when i came back out to my car someone (who iguess has a hatred for subies) decided to rip my wing of of my car. it was hanging on by the cables that secure to the inside of the trunk.

if i ever find out who did that they better be prepaired for a majior ass kicking.
