After an extensive cleanout of the replaced warranty parts storage at work, I came across a Bosal muffler that had been replaced due to a small dent in the side and an apparent whistling noise.
I have a 2000 OBS with a 2002 WRX stock catback on it, sounds alright, however, i'm looking for a little more sound. I was wondering if anyone else has heard/done/seen the results of a straight muffler with the baffles cut out. I figure since I got this for free, It wouldnt be of much loss just to cut it open, remove the baffles, and maybe strap it on my car. ![]()

At that point you might as well not run a muffler at all and straight pipe it. I would maybe try throwing the bosal on as is and see how it sounds. If you don't like it you can always take it off.

Thanks Mike! That was my initial plan, put it on and see how it sounds. I do want it to look like there is a muffler there, which is why I'm using it.
