Default Has anyone here...

Replaced a stud in a turbo? I stripped the thread and bolt on the stud. Now, I look like this... Cappa is going to come over Wednesday night to help me out I am just curious if any of here has done this in the past?

Thanks,

Aaron

I have on my corolla. Its actually pretty simple. You have two options I know of, you can drill it out and just get a new stud. or, if the bolt is stuck on the stud you can throw another bolt on there, strip it on there if need be. Tighten is as much as possible so it pushes up against the bolt thats stuck on there, throw the wrench on the original bolt and it should unscrew the stud from turbo. I can lend a hand too. I'll give Kevin a text and see if he wants some help of if he can handle it. Good luck.

A stud remover is far easier. Just slides over the end on a ratchet and twist. I should have one if you want to borrow it.

No Jason I just got a set of tools that get rounded bolts off that I haven't tried yet but I think that'll work then the next step will be to get that stud out...
