Default AttaQ's 04 Silver Grey Metallic M3 Detailed

NASIOC Member AttaQ bought an 04 M3 a few months back and called me out to detail it for him.

I've done his WRX and his CTS-V for him before, and his wife's Jetta. Time to get my hands on the M3.

I haven't gotten the pics off of my camera yet, but here's a cell pic that I uploaded to FB.

I'll update this thread with the other pics once I get them off the camera (tonight hopefully) and the process that I used.

I'm in the process of cleaning up my HD (who knew 350GB couldl fill up soo fast!!!!), so I don't wanna plug in my camera until that's done. I'll probably start the upload of the pics tonight and post them tomorrow.

Got the pics off the camera last night.

The car was in very good shape when I got there, the swirling was minor, a few minor scuffs on the lower pass side skirts that mosty buffed out.

Here's the process I used on it:

Wash with foam gun
clay
wash again
Hi-Temp wheel cleaner
Meguiars Hyperdressing 3:1 on tires and all exterior vinyl trim (cowl, black plastic on the hood, window trim)
Stoners Invisible Glass on exterior glass
DACP with a Meguiars cutting pad on the few scuffs/scratches
Menzerna Final Polish
Meguiars NXT 2.0
Exhaust cleaned with #0000 Steele wool & generic glass cleaner, polished with Mothers Metal Polish

Here are the pics:

After the wash/clay/wash/dry

Exhaust before (sorry for the blurry pic)

Exhaust afters

some leftover polish on the pain above the tips

All done:

Thanks and great job as always Dave. The paint wasn't as jacked up as the WRX and V when you got your hands on it so hopefully it saved you a little bit of pain, but the results are great and it is always just good to know the paint is protected. I'll have you do the M3 again and probably the wife's Mini as well in the spring. The car might look a little differently by then.

If you need a detail in Chicagoland you have to contact blue-sun!

Thanks Nick! I'm jealous of your always fun cars (not that mine aren't, but we're almost always rolling in something different) & glad I was finally able to meet Lola the dog, she rocks!

Here is what the interior looks like, black cloth seats with leather trim, manually adjustable, piano black trim, nav, and an upgraded stereo.

Oh, so I did some searching, there's some fine tuning that can be done to my short shifter, so I did it and realized that there was a bolt that was loose in the linkage piece in the engine bay and with the adjustment and the bolt tightened up, it feels like your cars short shifter now.
