2010 BBQ Burnaby Pre-Meet

all other cities are meeting up apparently so why not make one in burnaby. If anyone's interested throw up a suggestion. I'm thinking maybe the huge mcdonalds on willingdon right by HWY 1. This could also work for anyone coming in through HWY 1. I'm thinking meet around 10-10:15, leaving at 10:30. Maybe meet a bit earlier if anyone wants to grab breakfast.

We've done that before in the past.

Although I won't be joining you guys, it's a convenient place to meet beforehand.

Just remember it is private property. If they ask you to leave, please comply. Then again, if ya'll go in to grap breakfast or a coffee, well, then you just happen to be customers who drive the same make of vehicle.

I'm sure everyone will be on their best behaviour.

FYI for those arriving to Mcdicks on willingdons via hwy1 west.. there is an island on willingdon now. you'll have to make a u-turn @ Dawson (a block up)

Yah, they've been making extensive road and highway changes in that area. The Willingdon North exit has changed quite a bit now. For Highway 1 West Willingdon North exit, you actually go underneath Willingdon and loop around and you end up facing east. There's a stop light now in which you either turn right (to head South) or left to head North along Willingdon. Make the left turn, jump into the right lane right away and take the first corner towards the Keg/Costco. That way, you'll loop around to Still Creek and not worry about having to make an illegal U-turn.

i take the exit every morning and i always wondered if there was an alternative.. hahahaa. cool.

Instead of doing a U-turn at Dawson, turn right onto Still Creek Ave (towards Costco). It will end in a T with Still Creek Drive past Costco. Turn onto Still Creek Drive - it will go under Willingdon and then right to McDonald's.

Then you don't have to wait on making a left across Willingdon.
