Default WRX starter issues after clutch install

Hey guys. Just got most of my car back together and i'm having issues with my starter. I installed the power and the ground on the clips but she wont turn over. Am i forgetting something?

Make sure all the fuses in the main panel under the hood are ok and if you haven't checked the safety switch to make sure it is passing power to the starter solenoid then check that.

did that, then saw this little plug hanging next to my tranny. It plugged into the back of the starter behind the power wire. Nice hiding place for it. Cars up and running now after a 3 day fight.

I had a trans shop rebuild my trans and now it doesn't start in the cold I'm stumped 141000 miles oe starter

If all you hear is a fairly loud click when you go the START mode then the starter solenoid contacts may need to be replaced. It would also be a good idea to clean the battery connections.
