From what I've read and understand is that the actuators (even the high psi application) isn't strong enough to run lots of boost. Hopefully I worded that right.

Then you can go back and add the graphs from the efr after we get done tuning it.

After testing the Forge 2nd port again with higher psi the rubber part expends and creates a balloon. How the **** forge released something like this with out testing it?

anyways i put in 30 psi spring and did 1 turn preload, "using MBC on low setting"

looks like im ready for dyno again@

Why not use the actuator that came from BW?

Good thing it pumps 16psi at 3500 rpm, we ran max 20 psi so no crazy numbers

You're the second or third person I've heard say that in the past few days and I don't know where or who you get your info from but its wrong. The only thing you need to wire up to run correctly is an IAT probe but you need that for any correct SD system. Wiring in a wideband is optional but give you closed loop fueling and autotune functionality. Everything else is plug and play via the adapter harness or direct plug in with the replacement board units.

So you know the Adapter harness is discontinued, because they just released v88 board that goes inside the stock ECU case. its all plug and play and has extra harness cable that you can attach for input and output channels.

i was interested in buying a vipec back in 2009. at the time i was told the wiring would take a couple days and i would need a vipek specific tuner which would cost another thousand on top of the steal of a price of 2500$ installed. if i remember correctly the tuners name was franz?

that being said, i opted for ecutek. then i met phatron. i have used open source for years since then to monitor the car and open source tune it but never was able to get anyone to show me what was being changed and how.

considering the carberry 16bit sd rom.

sorry for the thread jack bariga, maybe i will reconsider the new vipec. i havent committed to anything (AEM), and since junior and ray are my local tuners, i'm not sure if they even wanna mess with that. we'll see.

I heard they were gonna do start doing that. They may have stopped production of the adapter harness but it can still be found in stock in the right places.

They make a full wire-in universal model too and that's probably what you where quoted. Now they have model specific, nearly plug and play units for certain cars now. Like Bariga said they have the replacement boards or the universal models with the adapter harness like I have.
