I know nothing about the specific ecu you mention but it's likely hardware and processing ability. A lot of micros are really memory limited. I do some embedded programming and it's not as simple as one might think. FWIW

How was it an ignorant post? Didn't the mbc provide a nice solid boost curve? Where as all the other setups did not? All I was saying is if it worked then why not use it.
I admit I can't name everything you have tried because you have tried many different boost control setups but if the mbc worked then it seems like the easiest solution.

Since when had Motec sold directly? When did they add a shopping cart function?

edit: went and looked real quick and don't see one. I know for a data aq system, you can quickly blow $60k in a setup. I'm guessing every option was well beyond just the ECU

As we though the problem was with EFR IWG design and the WG actuator so by slapping MBC in there it ruled that out right away. So i still would like to try 3 port again, and 4 port just for ****s and giggles.

when i come down to mps, i think some time next week!
the 4 port might be ideal setup! with lighter spring will see.

I guess the reason everyone is confused is that--I can't speak for all--but I think we don't understand what features you want to use from the VIPEC in terms of boost control?
Is it because you want a failsafe for your meth?
Is it because you want RPM adjustability? Or do you want switchable levels?
I think if you defined it then it would explain more.

I think that most are under the assumption that you just want stable boost control, in which case the MBC seems to be working to do that. But then a single MBC is too simple for RPM control or perhaps dual stage, but it's not quite clear what you want to run.

You can still have a failsafe for example running a single MBC and enabling the output of the aquamist to trip a nitrous map which has reduced timing and a slightly richer mixture. That would still be maximizing the features of the VIPEC--just not all of them.

Well my pump gas map is set to 19 psi "430 whp" and meth map at 23psi "500whp"
So 2 different boost settings, 2 solenoids in parallel defiantly not the way to do it.

Since the delta between the 2 boost levels are not extreme I think a second option is to just run the 23 psi with 2 fuel maps triggered by the failsafe unless you plan to run for long periods without the methanol.

you are correct, 19psi is just pump.
23 is with meth. When the DDS3 cuts, it switches back to the 19psi map.

We will NOT be running 23psi on pump gas with this engine.

hooked up the 4 port solenoid, enabled close loop boost control, set all settings to recommended "per help file" works flawless! Works even better than MBC

Tested my Defi boost guage and that sucker is spot on , this only tells me my aem 3.5 bar map sensor is out of calibration

Did you calibrate the boost gauge? Defi has a calibration sequence. Atmospheric pressure sensor in the control unit.

please share calibration process, how I check it was connect air compressor with 20 psi and check on defi. I calibrated map sensor in kpa by aem chart, so it's less than 1 psi diffarance before the numbers where little off
