Question Low fuel pressure/sputtering and stalling after warming up???

I have an 02 WRX all stock. When I first start the car up, it works totally fine for about 45 minutes or so. After it has been running for a while, it starts to sputter/buck, eventually stalls out and will not stay started until it sits for a while.

I took it to my mechanic and he hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and said it is dropping wayyyy low after it gets warmed up. He doesn't think it is the fuel pump because they either work, or they don't. He also thinks it might be something to do with the electrical system.

So here are my questions:

Would low fuel pressure cause a P0031 code? I originally brought the car in to get that O2 sensor fixed, but he doesn't want to do it because he think the low fuel pressure issue might be throwing it.

Why the hell is it fine during cold start up, but after it heats up, it gets wacky? This tells me it is definitely heat related, which most likely means electrical issues.

I need to call the dealership and get it in there (yay!!!! ), but would like to know a little bit about the issue before I call.

Thanks for your help.

any idea what it was...my car(2002 wrx) does the same thing. I changed the fuel filter and fuel pump and it still does it. My car doesn't stall but it's kinda jerky when i accelerate and it sounds like it is going to stall sometimes, it just never did yet.

I went ahead and changed the failing o2 sensor. I just got the car back today so I'll let you know how it goes when I drive around for a while.

My car just started doing this today after sitting for a few days. Please let me know your outcome.

The o2 sensor was replaced, as well as my 105k maintenance and I am still having this issue.

I have 0 CELs, and the top end of it just seems to stutter when it starts to hit boost after it warms up. When the car is just started, it doesn't stutter/jerk during acceleration.
