Hey guys. I'm back! And of course something seems to have happened to my car during it's transport from the east coast to the west.
I'm getting some kind of light rubbing noise when I coast or brake in 2nd or 3rd that goes away when on the throttle. I think it might just be some exhaust rubbing but I'm not sure. Kar King on Alexander is right by my work so I was thinking of just taking it there so I'm curious if anyone has used them. The next closest would probably be Tej Auto on Powell St. Anyone have any experience with these shops?

I have no experience from either.
But it makes me wonder what happened during transport? I think anyone who can put it on a lift would be a good choice. Just to get a visual on what's happening. Oh yeah, welcome back. ![]() |

Where are you located? I need to figure this out fast so I can put a claim into the shipping company.

I brought my car to Kar King long time ago to get an ICBC repair. I was not happy with them. I got into a car accident with my civic, they had to re-weld the a new frame in the front. Two years later, the new frame broke off from the rest of the car. They denied is their workmanship and blame me for running over potholes. They tried to make me pay to get it fixed. Furthermore, they left tools in the engine bay and made a little hole on the roof liner. Lastly, Kar King gave me a crappy loaner car (Pontiac 6000). I will not go back to that place again.

Ryeeno: if u need something official to go against shipping company, a shop is your best bet; i dun mind to help and have a look so even if you go into a shop u can point it out and get them to have sth on paper.

Yep. That's close.
I think the flat bed and train ride messed up my alignment pretty good too. |

TEJ Auto, BOB is a nice guy. HE helped me swapped all the tires balanced them all for a price that no one in town can match.
It was also low profile tires too and his machine is state of the art tire mounting machine. |

You may go Comptech Performance at 144 West 5th Ave in Vancouver. Ask for Dave.

hey ryeeno, i have a similar problem such as yours. When I coast or gear down, or even make a quick left turn, there's a huge vibrating / rubbing noise right under my car, right under my cabin area. It sounds like metal on metal contact, so i would assume it might be the exhaust moving from side to side. Might want to get that checked out. But I can't say ne thing about that shop though :P

My car is at Dale's and of course it doesn't do the noise for them. It's really hard to source what it is. It's very annoying though.
