had a blown strut and a saggy butt so after sifting through a lot of trash talk and mixed reviews, Figured I had to try them first hand and make my own option. So far I like the ride, not to stiff but very responsive and as for fit quality the install when smooth as glass with all hardware included and fit was perfect.

I'm thinking about the ultimos on my 2.5i. Just to take away that wheel gap while still being able to raise it in the winter. Should I do these instead of a $250 set of springs?

Please read the title of the thread. This discussion is about Racelands. If you'd like to discuss something other than Racelands, post in a thread that is not about Racelands.

So you're saying that people can't ask questions about different suspension options? Somebody told me to get springs instead of these so I asked what springs to get. If you read my last post, it was about racelands.

Compared to how eibach springs ride, how much better are racelands? That better for you? Or are you gonna find something wrong with that too?

you're gonna like eibachs a lot more than racelands as far as ride quality goes. the racelands will go A LOT lower, but that's the nature of a coilover.

Correct. Because this is a thread about Racelands and not a general 'what suspension should I get'

That's a fair question since you are comparing something to the object of this thread. I don't know the answer but soft/medium springs like these have much less effect on the ride quality than the shock damping. So it depends on what dampers you're going to use with the Eibach springs. If using the off the shelf Konis, the Racelands are going to be worse. If using KYB AGXs, the Racelands will be better.

IMO.

Okay cool. I think I'll try my luck with Racelands. Not holding onto this car for very long anyways...

Yeah, not so much with our cars. Notice how JIC's suck balls for us as well. The dampening and spring rates are (similarly to BC/raceland) all over the place.

Why are BC's twice the price of racelands yet its the exact same product? Cost isn't ALWAYS a determining factor in the quality of a product, but it'll give you a good idea of the quality of the components used at least.

BC, raceland, rokkor, megan, its all the same. Suspension companies that have a good reputation with subarus - AST, ST, KW, Feal, RCE, and a few others. Notice how some of those are actually pretty affordable options if you are on a budget, with the ST's and Feals being ~$1200ish. Hell, the Feal's are hand made in the US and shock-dyno tested before delivery.

the motto always speaks for itself " cheap becomes expensive" or "you get what you pay for"
