Default my new turbo

Hey everyone, i recently purchased an IHI turbocharger for my 98 hyundai accent, and i was wondering if someone could give me some info on whether this turbo is off an impreza. Many people from the hyundai message boards have been saying that its either off a 1.8L or a 2.2L impreza. Just checking with you guys to get another opinion! thanks again

The oil and coolant fittings are brand new and the exhaust housing looks to have been replaced, but it does look like the turbo off a Legacy turbo or Loyale. What's the part number on the intake housing?

Post the numbers that's stamped on.
Then somebody can identify easier.

There was no 1.8liter or 2.2 liter turbo Impreza in the world, except the WRX 22B. It is highly unlikely the turbo is off 22B though.
If it is from US Subaru, then it is from old ones.

IHI turbo can be seen in a lot of cars so it might not be from a Subaru.

I'm failry sure you just got owned.

Give me more pics of the turbine side, but I'd swear thats off of a 85-90 Subaru turbo. They can only make around 200HP MAX at the crank. Small little things. You could even have one of the rare 83-84 units that have an even smaller turbine than the 85-90 ones.

Can you get a pic of the turbine side showing the turbine wheel and the wastegate flapper? I can tell you right off if its a 83-84, 85-90, or 91+ subaru turbocharger.
