So who's going to see this when it comes out. I remember reading about this guy right after it happened, I don't know what I would have done in this same situation.

Here's the trailer: TRAILER

Here's the actual story: Aron Ralston

I remember this incident not to be the stereotypical dick but it seems like incidents like this happen all the time here because most cases they don't follow simple survival rules of common sense : lack of water, they go by themselves, lack of proper communication equipment for emergency use or letting people know where u go if problems occur

I'll be seeing the movie... if only because it was filmed here in the state.

Ralston's story wasn't the typical idiot-gets-lost-in-the-wilderness search and rescue tale. Believe me, I've covered enough to know the difference.

It's wise to not go into the back country alone, but some of the most valuable time spent adventuring is solo. That was really his only major downfall.

Speaking of movies I heard of a military movie that was supposed to be coming out, that was about a small group of soldiers that get lost in iraq or afgan and nobody finds them for some time. I guess it was a true story and some of the footage is real of them fighting. Anybody heard of it?
