Default NYC rare JDM auto climate control panel

This is an auto control panel from a v6 JDM STi. Very rare, hard-to-find part, and definitely an interior touch almost nobody has in their GC.

Perfect working order. You will need the climate control HVAC boxes from an auto-control 99-02 Forester to make this work in an RS.

$100 + shipping.

Email is j.white.uc (at) gmail.com

thanks

James

Why thank you! It certainly is a rare touch.. I've only ever seen it installed in one car.

So how does this work with a non-climate control car? For example, I have a plain ol' US spec 2002 Forester with manual climate. Can I plug this in and make it auto with no work or what specifically is needed to convert it? From my understanding, this requires the full HVAC system designed to operate with this digial unit. I'm sure you looked into that yourself, so how easy are these parts to find and how pricey are they to get? I'm a fan of a good auto climate control system, so I'm curious. There's also apparently a good fix to make it work SIGNIFICANTLY better than stock.

Correct!

I actually have two sets of these (control panels) and I do have all the other stuff to make this work. Maybe some point over the winter I'll get around to installing it all in my GC, at which point I could make a writeup. A friend of mine waaay back in the day had successfully installed it also.

You will need motors / actuators to install in the heater core and blower box as well as the wiring harness. Wiring is actually fairly straightforward, just tap the radio for power and ground and connect the AC relay.
