how much shear strength do you really need against aluminum in order to put larger ones in?
each one of those pins installed has 3000#s shear strength (x 6)

No idea what it weighs.. I know that after I put all the stock **** back in the CF doors they were probably only 10-20lbs lighter then stock.. The trunk was a good amount lighter and so was the hood... but again I don't have any before and after facts.

Honestly a good ol street terror is what I want. Not a daily driver or anything... something I can take out to the car meets or step up to the plate when the local street cars talk **** about the subies

Power 800-900whp, I know that with 875whp we just went 131@1/8th in an AWD with around 200lbs less and a lot less TQ.. That car went 8s with 123-124mph @ 1/8th. I would be happy with some low 9s and 200+ at the mile events.

The one thing I def want to do is go 9s on 93-94 pumpgas.. That has always been my goal. I am pretty confident that it will make around 600whp on pumpgas, so I should be close.

Jr

Sounds like our cars have similar build reasons!!

Should be fun. What mile events are you planning to hit? going to any of the Carolina events?

Maxton, Miami etc..

Today I was debating if I should cage it or not.. I know I wont be able to "legally" race at any of the events if I don't.

Junior would you say the cosworth race oil pump is second to none?

How much of a difference does the AVCS do for the s3's would you say? Any experience with the kelford 280's and if so how would you compare the two? I'm just trying to get some insight from someone who has real experience with them.

Build looks awesome! Good luck with your pump gas goal. If anyone can do it you can!!!

PS> I haven't heard from my friend who was going to have you tune his car, did you ever fly out here and do that?

Mine will be getting a cage before it does a standing mile. Once I get kicked off the local drag strips

I've never heard of the Miami one...google is now in use

I will go to Robbie's event this year. Last year I wasn't ready. I will even pay for your hotel

I got your part numbers.. Better yet, why dont I come down and install them for you and get your 10sec pass? Better do it before I throw the VF on my GC

P&L pump is probably just as good if not better.. Honestly with the exception of the crank.. Cosworth is just a name

Cams, the Kelford are a tad smaller.. Both do great, the kelfords can run a little more AVCS and give you a tiny gain down low over the GSC... Honestly you are good with either one. You wont be running full advance AVCS with either one.. depending on the valve size and pistons.. bah.. way to many variables.. Both will do good and make plenty of power.

I didnt go out and Tune Dustins car.. I have been super busy, but since leaving the shop I am gearing up to start travel tuning a lot more. I used to do it all the time, and I want to start again.. I enjoy not being in the NE.

I think I bit the bullet on the cage today.. Just going to do it.. Hate to get it all together then have to take it apart again. Probably going to acid dip the car over the winter too before I install my AeroSims CF widebody

and you keep reading my mind or the formula for an awesome GM chassis build

here's the kit I was looking into http://www.rs25.com/forums/f168/t129...upe-sedan.html

Aerosims is to $$$ for my budget.

Shouldn't Ron be attempting to keep up with me? Oppositelock trapped 112mph on his td04 with my tune a while back.. I told him once he passes that I might get motivated.

Very nice block! But I am curious as to the use of pinning as opposed to going with a full closed deck? Are there any advantages to pinning? In cooling or something? Would love to know. Best of luck with the build.
