Lightbulb Boost Monkey Question

I going to try and install the boost monkey myself. Can some one please tell me if it is hard to adjust once installed. Is 15 pounds of boost 1.1, 1.2 on the boost gauge because thats the max I would like to go. Thanks

It's pretty easy to install and adjust. Sorry, I don't know the conversion from bar to psi. I am actually going to pull my boost monkey out because it only gets a max of 15 psi in 4 and 5th gears. I was hoping for 16 or 17. But yes, it is very easy to adjust even by yourself.

No brainer install. If you remove the stock restrictor in the boost control hose you can see way more than 15psi. I over boosted my car twice after doing the 3/16th swap. Do a search on this for more info.

My monkey is on its way back to its mother for a spanking. When I get him back he will be up for adoption since I have a replacement mother on the way.

15psi is just over .10(14.5psi) bar and 16 psi is almost exactly .11 bar(15.95psi). it is a basic install. print the instructions from the website. mine works perfectly. good luck with yours..

mine took almost 1 week to be shipped after initial order was placed. Kris responded immediately to my order. i had to mail him once to see if it shipped when he said it would and he mailed me back promptly and appologized for not letting me know. it arrived 2 days after he shipped it out. i think he is very busy with sales and manufacturing since his product is doing very well on the market.

Mine should be coming today. Kris ships by the post office not a very good tracking system.

Yeah mine took about 3 weeks to get here because he was in the process of ordering the parts and such. Don't worry it will be at your door step soon enough, mine took 2 days to get here after he informed me it was shipped. As for how it performs, it is awesome!!! Check my post titled "BoostMonkey Problems" for more info.

Hey 02_Scooby_WRX what do you have your boost set at. Where did you end up mounting your monkey. I was think in the center armrest or the glove box, if the car needs service I do not want to see it. Just recieved my monkey in the mail. Thanks

I have mine set at 15psi for the street and about 16-17psi at the track. I mounted mine in place of the ashtray. It fit pretty well there and is easily accessed while I am driving to make on the fly adjustments.

you know... the blue one

Default the boost monkey

Yeah the ashtray spot is a great place, I put mine there too. I put the snap together type connectors at the silnoid and close to the boost monkey unit itself. This way I can just pull the boost monkey out and just connect the silnoid back the way it was when I take it in for servicing....
