EJ25D rebuilding Q's...
I have been rebuilding my EJ25D for my 98 RS and have had some issues. I bought the standard ACL bearings for the rods but have lots of play in the in and out movement of the rod. The side to side is at its max tolerance but the in and out, or back and forth movement, has a lot of play?
What say ye? Do you think that I had been sent the wrong bearings in the correct box? Is it safe to remove the rod cap while it is attached to the crank after it has already been torqued down to determine if the bearing is wrong?
I inspected the original bearings that were in the block and they were OEM and had a .25MM stamped on the backside with some other letters.
I am at my whits end with this engine.
If anyone has any advice plz chime in.
