Default 2011 ford mustang gt V8 calling me..

This damn thing has been on my mind for some time now....I went to coastal ford to price one out and with the employee ford pricing promo it came to $44,399 down to $38,796. I am seriously considering selling the 09 sti for this in the next few days. Sorry to say bye bye to the suby community!

-5.0 litre V8 412 hp/390 tq
-hids
-brembo brakes
-6 speed manual
-3.73-ratio, limited-slip differential
-19-inch wheels with 255/40/R19 tires
-0-60 in 4.3 seconds

I would want mine to look something similar to this but dark gray...

My buddy has an 06 Mustang GT. In stock form, the thing feels like total ass when you're trying to turn with it. Vague with some strange shimmies at the rear axle when the suspension's loaded...

But I'd still get one. The thing is so much fun to drive, and performance parts from Ford racing are cheap and work good. The ford racing suspension kit (new springs, dampers, swaybars, bushings) costs just over $1000, iirc, and will fix most of the strange cornering issues. And the new 5.0's are the best looking stangs yet!!

Looks like fun, but I hope you get a nice cheap scoobie for the winter. Trust me yankee RWD big HP cars are no fun trying to commute in the rain/snow.

PS Ill trade you my 5 spoke + some cash for your BBS if your selling the STI pm if you want to consider it.

Yup, those are nice for the money.

I looked at and considered getting one. The only thing that stopped me is the practicality of it as an only car, especially up in the mountains in the winter

LOL for that price, i'd buy a real muscle car from the 60's. I think most of these "retro" style muscle car is an abortion to it's original design.

thank god i'm not alone...anyone who says they're not fun to drive is a ****ing retard....

sure they may handle somewhat like pregnant whales, but 412HP from a big V8, rwd with minimal drivetrain loss is a blast....

dont get me wrong, i love subarus, but between a new sti and a new mustang, sorry to say but the mustang is just so much more fun...

also check out the tarus SHO, twin turbo'd V6, AWD, 365 HP...only thing holding it back is lack of a 6 speed manual....but jesus....why cant subaru make a TT 6cyl sti?

and the f150 raptor is a badass truck too....Ford FTMFW!!

I like the whole thing, even the interior. This is a 12 second car with decent tires, and maybe some bolt-ons, and I'd set it up to corner.

The only problem with the 'Stangs is that every few months, somebody comes along with a special edition that makes 5 more horsepower. Thus, there's already the Boss 302 out.

What would I rather have? The STi wagon, but that's just cause I'm a wagon4life kinda guy. However, I work across from the Ford dealership, and I can tell you I'd rather have the 5.0 than a 370Z, G37, 335i, or pretty much any other 50K coupe.

Austrian's has a huge selection of cool cars we can't even buy here...

For a 2+ car family I would say the Mustang is a good buy.

have to agreed,
id take a mustang over my STi if we were only talking about owning a "fun" car. practicality is why I still own the Sti and haven't given into my urge for a terminator cobra

I would have to say, anyone who claims an STi is more fun than a mustang is borderline insane. raw Domestic power gives you chills.
and if it doesn't .. well, I feel sorry for you

I'm not a big fan of the new stock looking GT's, but the nicely modded ones or even the stock gt500 is nice eye candy. Also I think the color plays a huge part in how much nicer it would look. Case in point that baby blue one in the vids make the car look stupid.

From what I gathered from these vids

GT = cheap hot animal sex
M3 = sensual love making

I had a '69 GTO Judge with a 400 as a daily driver... would never do that again. Old muscle cars are great but newer muscle cars are much easier to live with daily.
