Default engine trouble?

Did some searching but wanted to post up here anyway. My car during hard acceleration has some weird rpm readings. Like when i accelerate, my rpms would read like 3.5k then i would hear the engine power drop a tad bit as does my rpm readings. Almost as if the engine is confused at what rpm/speed it should be. But after the quick drop in speed/power it goes back to normal. Any ideas? I also have an ots cobb map but am going for a tune soon. Just wondering if this is a issue can be solved with a tune or if i should get it checked out.

Let me know! Thanks!

nah no cel. everything runs fine. no just running a the stg 1 map. its almost as if my engine runs faster than my turbo, if that makes sense. like the thrust i get when i hammer it goes faster than what my engine thinks, then when my turbo kicks in it drops like 500rpm then goes normal. but if i ease in the power and the turbo kicks in its all good, only happens if i accelerate hard.

My MK.III Supra had this problem...
On full acceleration, it would rev up smoothly, but as pressure builds up around 3~4k rpm, it would hesitate with a slight rpm drop then accelerate to 6k rpm normally.
Mine only happened on 1st gear though... or I was too dumb to notice it on other gears...
I'm still not sure if it's boost drop or whatever, but it sure felt weird.
Anyway, it turned out I had a leak somewhere critical and had to get my engine serviced and eventually replaced...
Hope yours isn't something like this.

Perhaps your maf is dirty, or a leak somewhere. I had something similar when my intercooler to throttle body hose was loose.
