Default Help With Making A Completely Keyless Ignition

I've been researching start buttons for a bit, and decided that I want to install one. Before the rice/pointless mod comments commence, you should know my reason for adding the button would be security. I first thought about hiding the button under my e-brake boot, so it would be completely out of site. Then I had the idea to use an existing button in the car. I plan to rewire the bottom half of the door lock rocker switch as the start button.

After that, I had another idea. What if I could remove the key completely? Of course I would have to have another button for the ignition. There just so happens to be a button that I haven't used once, and it's right next to the rocker switch! The window lock button will be used as an ignition button, and therefore will make the key obsolete.

Finally, I will add a simple switch to take place of the accessory position.

I think I will splice into everything so that the key will still work just as it always does, but I can bypass it completely, and start the car with the buttons.

To sum it up:
Accessory = first position -> added switch
On = second position -> window lock switch
Ignition = start the car position -> door lock rocker switch

Now that you know my plans, I have a few questions:

1) Are the switches I plan to use even strong enough to handle what I've said?

2) If I wire the switches as described, and I start the car without the accessory switch on, will the radio still come on, or will it only come on with the accessory switch on also?

3) Will I need to add any fuses to any switch?

4) Is there anything that I should know, or am overlooking/oversimplifying in my description?

Please let me know if something doesn't make sense, or you'd like more info about.

Can anyone help me with this? I know similar systems have been done (I've read the thread with the RFID instead of a key), but I have a couple build-specific questions.

do you wish to make it work just like a nissan does?

but have the buttons in different locations.
If you really wish to just have a start button without all the switches and whatnot buy the Viper Smart Start...

I'm not familiar with how Nissan does it, and the whole point is not to have to buy anything. I want to be able to use the switches/buttons I already have.

You're going to have to buy things to make this work, you're going to need relays and such in place of turning the key to ACC/ON/START.

There is a company called KP Technologies that makes addons for Acura and other brands, but they have some universal items, this may be of interest to you:

If you want to go fully keyless that may require some trickery; depending on the year of your car you should have a transponder embedded in the key that is read when it's put into the ignition; a few ways around that would be to cut a key head off and leave it in the car in a hidden area within range of the vehicles ignition system... which is highly unsafe because someone just needs to break a window and push start.. or still use the key but have push button for some features.. makes it kind of useless.. or.. if possible... this:

If you have a transponder enabled ignition system move it somewhere by the shifter/console area, then find a way to cut a spare or valet key you have, get the transponder out of it, and see if you can fit it in your factory key fob.. then when you sit down in the driver seat with your keys in your right pocket, you would be close enough for the vehicle to read the transponder.

That would be neat... but it's going to be a lot of work!

Edit: If your vehicle has a mechanical steering lock that is activated when the physical key is inserted into the ignition that's going to require some trickery.. I believe push button start cars have an actuator that unlocks the steering column.
