I'm going to need these for the house I just bought in West Valley. Anyone have any recommendations?

Has anyone tried this quest HD internet? Is it any good? Is 7mgs enough speed?

How about Comcast? How are they?

7MB enough speed for what? Porn? Then yes, unless it's Russian flavor like Kirillz...

I use Comcast because of two reasons:
1- DSL with Utopia(Xmission) slow as **** with never steady connection although that's what their claim to fame is the constant connection speed.
2- It was a ****ing pita trying to pay the bill every month for two separate providers. They need to Americanize their ways

Are there any good deals with Comcast? What do you pay a month?

$53; if you rent the modem from them it's like $5-10 more; you can buy your own too(but not from them, they rob you ) . Their deals is usually free install and 3 months at discounted price. That's the way to go

Which service do you usually get with Comcast? There's:

Performance
Get download speeds up to 15 Mbps and uploads up to 3 Mbps with PowerBoostŪ for only $19.99 a month for 6 months!

Economy Internet Service
NEW SUBSCRIBERS: Enjoy a special monthly rate for download speeds that are much faster than dial-up.

Economy Internet Service
Way faster than dial-up with downloads up to 1.5 Mbps and uploads up to 384 Kbps.

The last one is priced the best but, I'm worried it won't be enough.

No, its $19.99 for the first six months then $52.95 after that. If you have roomates or a spouse, you can switch it to there name and continue the $19.99 for six months.

This is THE FARTHEST thing from true. If Qwests fiber is available in your area its much faster than Comcast. Qwests latency is a hell of a lot better and if you know anything about internet you know how important that is...

You can reach me at 801.574.6223 and I will tell you what I can do for you.

Easy if you are out of promotion and want a better price you have to cancel then sign back up using someone elses name.

Once your promotion is up with Qwest I will personally put you back on a promotional price.

Thanks Jeff. I am still jealous of you having fiber but Qwest just launched 12mbps over here finally so I will be switching to that soon! And you are welcome, anyone else who is interested in it let me know. Pm me for details..

Oh yeah, I always forget that I hooked you up man! Well maybe I'm just used to you posting on SLCSUBARU. Let me know if you ever need anything else.

And just so everyone knows QWEST does not require a contract these days...

That sucks Jake if you decide to stay with it for some reason let me know and I will see what I can do as far as your monthly price. Some areas only have our slower speed, which is what gives us a bad rep. but if the fiber is there I can guarantee you'd like Qwest more.

+1 Let this guy hook ya up. We just switched from comcast. I'm hoping Qwest does get the faster speeds in my area soon. (Currently at 5Mbps and 896k) But the speed sacrifice is nothing compared to not having to deal with comcast douche baggery.
