Default PIAA fog light newb install question

So I'm going to guess the answer to this is no, but I'll ask anyway in case the answer turnss out to be yes, which would make my install much simpler.

I recently bought a pair of PIAA 540 fogs to put in my JDM fog bezels on my '04 WRX. The PIAAs use 55w bulbs, my stock fog lights use 55w bulbs, does this mean I can connect the PIAAs to my stock fog light wiring, and not use the relay and harness that came with the PIAAs and mess around wiring that to my stock fog switch.

If the answer is no, please explain to me why. Thank you.

That is what I was planning on doing. Im curious to see how you are gonna mount them. I remember your thread about the piaa's in the jdm fogs awhile back. I still haven't ordered mine. How do the 540's fit in the hole?

^^^
The 540s fit well, there is about a 3/8" gap around the lamp once in the bezel, but I don't think it will be that noticeable. I just posted pics of how I mounted them in that thread. The solution was actually remarkably simple.
