All I have to say about the meet is you guys with the Subaru lanyards are super cool! I had a good time and was impressed with the turnout. Now I'm waiting for everyone to complain about their sunburns and stuff, hehe.

Thumbs up

Had a great time seeing everyone's rides! Wish I could have stayed a bit longer. It looks like I have to rob the bank again! More MODS NEEDED! Hope to see everyone at the next meet.

Thumbs up Very cool indeed

Yeah, it was really cool seeing so many sweet rides in one place. We should try to have them more often.

Here's a few of the photos I took with my crappy digital camera:PICS

I"ll post the rest later.

Josh

EDIT: Fixed the link, I think!

Default hey hey hey!

haha....you guys all rock. now excuse me while i go empty my bank account so i can keep up next time!

anyway, nice meeting everyone. we'll have to do this again soon!

oh and i went and drove the golden gate canyon this evening. harvey! that road is sick!! everyone should experience it! and if you see some old guy driving his wife around in a gold sebring convertible, honk and flick him off :monkey:. i had to follow him down the last 5 miles at 15 mph because he wouldn't nicely pull over in one of the MANY dirt turnouts

so yeah....anyone have a job opening i could fill?

Yah! Big up to Nick for proposing this thing first of all. Once we finally got everybody in the right parking lot, there was a nice turnout. Nice meeting more of you guys.

PS: My cooker (.. err GRILL) owns!

Default it was a good thing

Thanks to all, it was a good get together.
Unfortunately Had to leave for work so couldn 't stay as long as I would have liked.

I would vote for more of the same. Much better environment then a back corner of some establishments parking lot. During the good weather months various parks would be nice places to set up meets.

One suggestion, although, many of you know each other well, as you hangout on a regular basis. It would be nice to have a way to get to attach names to faces, for those of us that are new to the crowd. Name tags would probably be a bit much, but just a culture of introducing yourself to the folks you don't know would be nice.

Over 30 cars. Good job!

I was very happy that my car keeps up with Brian's WRX (is that WRXThis?) in the twisties and at WOT, and I raced Mark Ramirez in his 21 psi 2.2T 1998 RS and ran right on his bumper through 3rd gear when we both backed off

Also, went by PDM after the meet and checked out the Turbo kits they make for SDR and ScoobyRacing (me) and the 6 psi kit on a 2002 with air water intercooler is absolutely faster than a WRX, period! That was with the smaller legacy turbo, and out kits use the VF22 ball bearing turbo. Retail is $3,599 for the VF22 kit, plus $700 to upgrade to air water IC. See photos on my website later this weekend - it is beautiful!

This exact same design turbo kit with air water IC ran 202hp at the wheels at 5.8 psi of boost last fall. My old Gen 2 JC Sports kit kit at 10 psi only ran 231hp at the wheels.

Hmm. Some of us met in one lot and some of us met in another. According to the directions that mofoporn gave us, at 2:15 you wouldn't have seen anyone cause we moved to a different lot that had cookers! Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Damnit! It was a huge misunderstanding with some of us meeting in the "correct" lot and some of us not. I will get some of your numbers next time so this won't happen again, or do something. I'll take responsibility for it, that sucks.

LOL

No offense, Mr Ganz, but if either of myself or Brian were running full boost you wouldnt stand a chance, time for a grudge match at the dragstrip, I say.

Cheers and once again LOL

I will be in search for the first 12 second WRX time slip in Colorado very soon. Now that I have the Link running perfect the car is ready to go. Yes, you can quote me on this.

Default Really like to see

The one I would personally love to see is WrxNate against Larry Ganz.

Neck and neck I bet and Nate would be running 15psi

I work till 6pm Wednesdays, so that isn't an option.

I hate when people make all kinds of excuses for why they couldn't pull away

How about this one as my excuse, "if I wasn't in 5th gear with one hand behind my back I woulda reeled you in!"

Sincerely,

Mr. Ganz M.D.

I cant even count how many times I have heard the old "I ran a 13.7 at Bandi on 3 cylinders" story - how is this any different? My car currently WILL NOT boost past 17psi and neither will Brians due to Link problems we are trying to sort out. This is far, far beneath the level he and I have both tuned our rides to. Our cars are both in limp mode at the moment so I dont think the hand-behind-the-back argument really works at the moment. Plus, get on a straight stretch and I guarantee you all you will see of Brian is tail-lights and that bigass wing walking away...

Next Saturday morning tech and test - lets all go throw it down.

Happy Monday to all - good to see you all this weekend.

Thumbs up THANKS!

Thanks for setting this up, Nick. Also, thanks to those of you who took the time to snap some photos.

I had a great time at the meet. It was great to meet some of you guys in person. The little 'canyon cruise' was entertaining. Hey Harvey - when are we going up (or down) Golden Gate?
