Exclamation Attn: Shiv! I need a base map. Could you hook me up?

Shiv,

I have the motor in and the sensors are nearly finished getting installed. So, I will be ready for a base map for the RS TEC 3. I need to get it running to a point so I can break in the motor. Can you email it to me? Also, are we still on for you taking my car for a coulple of days to mess with it on the dyno? Please email me and let me know. Once the motor is broken in you can have it. Thanks...

Paul...

Dave,

I got the base map and the others you sent. Thanks. By the way, how much boost were you running with the base map Shiv sent you? Is your CR the same as stock? Should the base map you sent work on a 8.5:1 CR motor? Is the base map or the altered base map you made good enough to run for 1000 mile motor break-in? I can't realy tune the car to full potential till I break in the motor. So, I will need to run low boost till then. I hope they work. Again thanks.

My motor is the stock CR and I am only running 7psi boost. His map was set for 1 bar of boost.

I would say if you run conservitive. I will send you the email he sent me on what to watch for.

I would say that your lower compression is going to make you have biger chamber volume when the piston is up. This will allow you to run more advance to burn the fuel before the exhaust stroke. Read the tuning instructions about this in the tec book.

Dave,

Thanks for the help. I think the base maps you sent will allow for the car to run. I will let you know if it doesn't work.
